The pavers on this Balgowlah property had sunk and shifted over time, leaving the surface uneven and pooling water in patches. The owner wanted the existing layout kept but needed the base rebuilt properly so the problem wouldn't come back.
We lifted the pavers, removed the failed bedding, and laid a new compacted sand and gravel base before resetting everything in the original pattern. The surface is now level and drains correctly, and the pavers sit firm underfoot.

How We Did It
Lift existing pavers, Remove failed bedding, Prepare a compacted sand and gravel base, Relay pavers in the original pattern, Correct surface levels and drainage. Lift the affected paving carefully so reusable pavers could be put back Remove the failed bedding material and rebuild the base Compact and level the new base before relaying pavers Set the final surface so it drained and felt firm underfoot
How It Turned Out
The paving now sits level, drains more reliably, and keeps the original layout while removing the trip points caused by the failed base. The owner should keep joints clear and watch for early movement after heavy rain so small settling issues can be addressed before they spread.
