The retaining walls on this Mosman property were a mix of failing rotten timber and unstable garden edges, with drainage issues adding pressure behind the structures. The site needed a more permanent retaining solution and a cleaner garden layout.

We removed the old timber wall, installed new timber retaining where it suited the site, built a rendered besser block retaining wall for the heavier retained section, and corrected the drainage behind the walls and beds. The garden now holds properly, drains properly, and presents as a finished upgrade rather than a patch repair.

How It Turned Out

The garden now has stronger retaining, corrected drainage, cleaner beds, and a more permanent finish across the upgraded sections. The drainage paths and retained soil should be checked after heavy rain, and beds should be maintained so water does not build up behind the walls.
