What Our Paving Service Covers
Common paving scopes for Sydney homes, driveways, and outdoor areas.
We build and relay paved surfaces for Sydney homes and commercial properties: driveways, paths, patios, pool surrounds, and outdoor entertaining areas. The scope always starts with what is underneath — existing soil conditions, compaction, sub-base depth, drainage falls, and edge restraint. Sydney clay soils shift with moisture, sandstone substrates drain unevenly, and coastal properties cop salt and sand exposure that affects jointing. We address those conditions before a single paver is laid so the finished surface holds its level, drains properly, and does not need rework within a few years. Chad typically leads our paving and structural projects, and most jobs are scoped, quoted, and delivered within one to three weeks depending on area and access.

What Paving Work Includes
The main project types, preparation standards, and related services we commonly deliver alongside paving.
Driveway and Vehicle Surface Paving
Driveways and parking areas need deeper compacted base, heavier pavers, and joint sand that handles vehicle weight without shifting. We build for the load and grade the surface so water runs to the street or a channel drain rather than pooling at the garage door.
Patios and Outdoor Entertaining Areas
Paved entertaining areas that connect to the house, garden, or pool zone and feel like part of the property rather than an afterthought. We set levels to the door threshold, fall the surface away from the building, and match materials to how the space is actually used.
Paths, Walkways, and Side Access
Paths that link the front entry, side gate, rear garden, and service areas with a consistent surface and clean transitions. We set widths for practical use, not just appearance, and handle the drainage and edging that stops path pavers creeping into adjacent beds over time.
Pool Surrounds and Wet-Area Paving
Pool coping and surrounds need slip-resistant pavers, proper falls to prevent water sheeting back into the pool, and salt-tolerant materials if the pool is chlorinated. We select finishes that stay comfortable underfoot in summer and safe when wet.
Resurfacing, Extensions, and Paver Replacement
Lift and relay sunken sections, extend an existing paved area to cover more of the yard, or replace damaged pavers with a matching or complementary product. We assess the existing base before quoting so the new work sits flush with what is already there.
Sub-Base Preparation, Drainage, and Edge Detail
The base decides whether paving lasts. We excavate to the right depth for the application, compact in layers, install ag-pipe or channel drainage where water needs directing, and set concrete or aluminium edge restraint so the paved area holds its shape against garden beds and lawn.

How a Paving Project Works
Four stages from site inspection to finished, sealed surface.
- 01
Step 01
Site Assessment and Layout
We inspect the area, check existing levels and drainage, note soil type and access constraints, and discuss materials, patterns, and how the paved surface connects to the rest of the property.
- 02
Step 02
Scope, Quote, and Material Selection
You receive a written scope covering excavation depth, base specification, paver type, edge restraint method, and drainage. The quote is itemised and fixed. Materials are confirmed before we order.
- 03
Step 03
Excavation, Base Preparation, and Paving
We excavate to the required depth, compact the sub-base in layers, install drainage and edge restraint, then lay and cut pavers to the agreed pattern. Joint sand is swept and compacted to lock the surface.
- 04
Step 04
Final Check and Handover
We check levels, confirm drainage falls, clean the finished surface, and remove all waste and equipment. You receive care notes covering joint sand top-up, sealing options, and what to watch for during the first settlement period.
What Clients Say About Our Paving
Recent Google reviews from paving clients across Sydney.
"A big thanks to Chad and the team for the terrific landscaping job they did to fix up our garden after a drainage issue. They raised the height of the garden by adding additional soil as well as laying new turf and new paving. Chad was very professional and great to deal with, his team were hardworking, always on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. We are very happy with the end results and would recommend Chad and the team to anyone looking for landscaping and garden work."

Paving FAQs
Answers to common pre-quote questions
We pave driveways, paths, patios, pool surrounds, courtyards, side-access routes, and outdoor entertaining areas. The service covers new paving on cleared or excavated ground, resurfacing over failed bases, extensions to existing paved areas, and lift-and-relay work where the pavers are sound but the base has shifted. We also handle the sub-base preparation, drainage, and edge restraint that sit underneath the finished surface.
We work with concrete pavers, clay pavers, natural sandstone, granite, bluestone, porcelain, and reconstituted stone. Material choice depends on the application, traffic load, sun exposure, and the look you want. For driveways we typically recommend interlocking concrete or clay pavers rated for vehicle loads. For pool surrounds we use salt-resistant, slip-graded products. We source from Sydney suppliers and can show you samples on site before you commit.
Most residential paving jobs run between three and ten working days depending on area, access, and how much excavation or drainage work the base needs. A straightforward front path might take two to three days. A full driveway with new sub-base and edge restraint typically takes five to seven days. We give you a timeline with the quote and let you know if weather or site conditions are likely to affect it.
Yes. We plan the layout on site based on how the space connects to the house, garden, and access points. That includes paver orientation, bond pattern, colour selection, border detailing, and how the paved area transitions to lawn, garden beds, or other hard surfaces. For larger or more detailed jobs we can mark the layout on the ground before ordering materials so you can see the proportions in context.
We handle lift-and-relay work on sunken or uneven sections, replacement of cracked or stained pavers, re-sanding of joints, and re-levelling where the base has settled. If the paving just needs cleaning rather than repair, we also offer high-pressure water cleaning as a separate service. For older paved areas we can assess whether spot repairs will hold or whether a more thorough relay makes better long-term sense.
Cost depends on the area being paved, the material selected, how much excavation and base preparation is needed, and site access. We quote after an on-site inspection rather than giving square-metre rates over the phone, because base conditions and drainage requirements vary too much across Sydney properties. The quote is written, itemised, and fixed.
